An athletic filly with exciting targets ahead, Theythinkitsallova is a strong, scopey individual with an elegant action and natural athleticism. Balanced and forward-moving, she combines presence with power and looks every inch a horse bred to progress with time. She was named by footballing royalty and World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst, adding a touch of sporting prestige to her story.
She is in training with up-and-coming trainer Jack Morland at Saffron House Stables in Newmarket — the home of British Flat racing — where she is being carefully prepared to fulfil her considerable potential.
The name chosen by Sir Geoff pays homage to one of the most famous lines in football commentary: “They think it’s all over — it is now,” spoken by Kenneth Wolstenholme during the 1966 World Cup final. The words were uttered as Sir Geoff broke through on goal to score England’s fourth goal and complete his hat-trick in injury time, sealing a historic victory.
Bred for class and versatility, she is by Le Brivido, the high-class miler who announced himself on the international stage with a breath taking victory in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing a close second in the Group 1 Prix de la Forêt. A son of the outstanding sire Siyouni, Le Brivido possessed a potent turn of foot and top-level ability — attributes that have made him an exciting young stallion. His pedigree blends speed and quality, and his progeny are already noted for their athleticism and sharp acceleration.
On the dam’s side, Theythinkitsallova is out of Sugar Hiccup. A relatively unknown but up-and-coming dam, she is yet to miss, with four winners all rated over 80. She is a daughter of the exceptional Refuse To Bend. A classic winner, Refuse To Bend captured the 2,000 Guineas before adding further Group 1 success in the Eclipse Stakes and the Queen Anne Stakes. Renowned for passing on toughness, class and a will to win, he has left a lasting influence as a sire, producing numerous high-class performers across Europe. This maternal line adds depth, durability and proven Group-level quality to an already exciting pedigree.
