March Newsletter: Exciting Progress Heading into the 2026 Flat Season, Spring Event and Merchandise!

March has been a busy month, with preparations in full swing for our five 2 year olds to hit the track, along with positive updates on the return of Beaufort Breeze and Offiah’s Boy. We also welcomed owners to Ollie Pears for our spring event and surprised owners with some merchandise to show our thanks for their continued support.

This update shares the details of these developments and what they mean for our owners and supporters!

Welcoming Owners to Malton, Yorkshire with Ollie Pears

This month, owners headed to the beautiful North Yorkshire setting of Malton to visit Hey Up Ronnie and Lady Dublin and get the lowdown on their progress ahead of the new season. A great group of twenty attended, and with the weather on our side, Ronnie and Dublin looked fantastic in the sun—a testament to Ollie and the team.

Owners were treated to an in-depth discussion about the work each horse has done, plans for the coming weeks, and potential race targets, alongside a tour of Ollie’s facilities and the stars of his yard.

The event was the perfect advert for small syndicate ownership—no big crowds, no lost agendas, and no owners feeling left out. We are proud to deliver a considered model that gives everyone the opportunity to be involved. For the team at Legacy, it was the ideal opener to more events throughout the year.

Merchandise – Thanking Our Owners

We are fortunate that each horse at Legacy is supported by groups of owners who show fantastic commitment to what we are building. With five two-year-olds, this is generally a quieter time of year before the rush of April begins.

That hasn’t stopped our owners, though. With new owner referrals, tipping competitions, and general updates being met with enthusiasm, we wanted to give something back. Each owner received a notepad and pen bundle delivered to their door as a thank you for their continued support as we move towards the summer.

Our Horses

March has been a positive month for the development of our horses. Each week, updates have evolved from showcasing their work to highlighting how that work has improved them—and what that means for future plans and race targets.

Here’s the lowdown on our Two Year Olds;

Lady Dublin – The arrival of some spring sunshine has done wonders for Dublin. She’s enjoying her work, and owners are increasingly confident about where we might see her first outing on the racecourse.

Hey Up Ronnie – The words ‘forward’ and ‘scopey’ have been used plenty over the past month for Ronnie. With his progress monitored through work alongside more experienced horses in the yard, excitement is really building for our Ubettabelieveit gelding.

Theythinkitsallova – With footballing royalty Sir Geoff Hurst taking a close interest in her progress, the message is clear: she has developed fantastically physically. Attention is now turning to her faster pieces of work, where she is showing plenty of speed and ability.

Jazzy Blue – A hot prospect for new owners, Jazzy Blue has impressed both the team at Legacy and the team at Bedford House Stables. She’s straightforward and shows plenty of ability. Owners have received some exciting updates, building anticipation for her racecourse debut, which may come sooner rather than later.

Unnamed Belardo Filly – Affectionately known as “Noodles” in the yard, our unnamed Belardo filly has been the centre of attention for those keen to name a racehorse. We look forward to revealing her racing name in due course. As for her progress, she’s the type of horse that does everything asked of her. She has matured mentally, and early April will be a very intriguing time for her owners as plans begin to take shape.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, the 2026 flat season is getting into full swing. April promises to be a busy month both on and off the racecourse. With potential debuts and returns on the cards, the blue and gold of Legacy looks sure to be at a racecourse near you.

Our new merchandise shop is set for launch, featuring exciting new items alongside the usual range of clothing and accessories—making it hard to miss Legacy whether at the racecourse, the yard, or even the local supermarket!

We encourage all owners to stay active, share their experiences, and invite others to discover the benefits of syndicate ownership. March has built excitement for what’s to come in April and beyond.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are building something special in the world of horse racing!
